What Type of Market Are we in?
To start it off lets talk about what type of market we are currently in. The market is a seller's market right now. There is currently 1.6 months of inventory. What that means, if if no more properties come on the market, in 1.6 months there will be no more homes for sale. Now, just because there are not a lot of properties for sale does not mean that there are going to be less people looking to buy a home. This creates multiple offers situations. Starting today, we are going to periodically take quick looks at neighborhoods around the Twin Cities area. We are going to kick it off by seeing what the Nokomis community in Minneapolis. We will be taking a look at both the real estate side of things, as well as things to do around there. Let's go!
Let's first take a look at real estate related stats. Price per square foot is currently at $189. That is a pretty decent number considering that the average price per square foot in the Twin Cities as a whole is $154. That's a benefit if you are thinking about selling your Nokomis community home.
Thinking about buying in the Nokomis area? Take this into consideration. With more inventory in the area, the houses have been sitting on the market for longer. The average days on the market that homes are sitting in Nokomis is 57 days. That is a benefit for buyers.

2019 is in full swing and the fourth Wednesday of the month means a market update for our readers. After reading this article, you will be able to make an educated decision of making a move or not, or even passing this info along to someone you know. In this market update we will take a look at inventory (or lack there of), days on market, and finally, the average price per square foot. Lets go!
There is currently 1.6 months of inventory. As was the case last month, it is a seller’s market. This means that there is a better shot at getting more traffic through your listing. More foot traffic could mean getting into a multiple offer situation. What does low inventory mean for buyers? Although frustrating at times, it is not as bad as some may think.
