Valentine's day is right around the corner. For some of us, it's just another day of the week. For others, it is a celebration to acknowledge those people closest to us! Are you still undecided on what to do? Rest easy because here at the Huerkamp Home Group, we have you covered! Here are some ideas to have fun and show what they means to you.
The Twin Cities has plenty to offer. Looking for something a little more active to do together? Try taking a yoga class together. If that's not your cup of tea, ice skating is a great option! If the weather is nice, maybe you do it at an outdoor rink. There are plenty of parks that feature outdoor rinks as well as local businesses. If you feel like staying on land but still want to be moving, check out what skiing and snowboarding options are around. A lot of places also have tubing hills! With these options you get a chance to show off some athletic ability or, maybe you get a few chuckles from the lack of that same ability. Either way though, the two of you are together and hopefully enjoying yourselves.
If the active route is not something that interests you, these next few ideas might be more your style. Of course, there's the classic dinner and a movie. One way to spice that up is to make dinner together before picking a movie to watch at home. With this option, you save some money and can also just enjoy each others company. Not the greatest cook? No problem! You and your significant other can go take a couples cooking class. This way you will be able to learn together. You’re also going to be a better cook because of it!
Let’s say you just really want to relax and take it easy. No cooking. No exercising. Just you and your date, enjoying something that you just had to show up for. One thing you could do is go see a comedy show. Who doesn't like to laugh? Another easy way to relax is by having a spa day/night. This is the most relaxing out of all of our suggestions. All you have to do is show up and they will take care of the rest!
Those are just a few of the things you could do with your significant other. At the end of the day, Valentine’s day is an effort holiday. It’s an excuse to show someone how much they mean to you. No matter what you do, let them know. Do you have any good date suggestions? Leave us a comment on any of our social medias!
