This year St Paul celebrates 50 years of the St Patrick's day parade. The week leading up to St Patrick's Day on the 17th March, is alive with green, shamrock, Celtic Crosses and fun. Find your local Irish pub or restaurant and enjoy a pint, a traditional Irish meal and a laugh with your fellow Irish kin and join in their week long celebrations culminating in the St Patrick's Day Parade on the 17th March starting at 12 Noon in downtown St Paul.
Pack your winter woollies, your chairs and blankets and get on downtown for this wonderful occasion and see the floats, parade, irish music and enjoy the mischievous shenanigans of the local artiste's. If you miss the daytime fun head on down to the Nicollette Mall in Minneapolis at 6.30pm for more promising fun and celebrations.
