Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday that is often spent with family, friends and lots of good food! While it is a great time of year for many reasons, it can also be a stressful time for those who are hosting the holiday at their house. Here are a few tips to help homeowners prepare for their Thanksgiving guests!
1. Clear the Clutter
Clear out any clutter from the entry, living room, dining room, kitchen and any other place that people will be gathering.
2. Get the Guest Bedroom Ready
If you’re having overnight guests, be sure to get all the bedding, including sheets, blankets and comforters washed before they arrive.
3. Checks Plates, Glasses and Silverware
Make sure you’ll have enough plates, glasses, silverware and serving dishes for all your guests and holiday meals.
4. Spruce up the Main Spaces
Themed decorations help make your home look ready for the holidays! Don’t worry about getting every nook and cranny. Put your focus on the main areas in your home that guests will be seeing like the front porch, entryway, kitchen, living room and bathrooms.
5. Use Seasonal Scents
Last but not least, make sure to have scented candles lit around your home to create a warm and inviting feeling as soon as guests walk through the door!
