First, sledding (the obvious one). Sledding is something that is fun for kids of all ages. It's easy. All you need is a sled and a hill. That's it! Going sledding is a great option also because of the other things you can do as well. You can sled, have a snowball fight, or just run around and play in the snow. By the end of your day, the kids are sure to be worn out! You get to have some relaxed kids and also have some quality family time.
Temps too cold to be outside? Try an indoor option. One good idea is Playworks in Prior Lake. It is essentially a big playground indoors. You can go as a family or drop the kids off while you run errands. There are also arcade games and video games that kids can play against each other. It is a great way to make some friends for the day, and it is also a really fun environment. This is just as fun as sledding but is also a warmer option.
The third option is a little simpler. Have a family game day/night. Yes, this does kind of contradict the idea of getting the family out of the house but it is a great option if the roads are bad. There are a lot of games you can play. This classic option may not wear the kids out but it still brings the family together to enjoy each others company.
Those are just three options that you could do during the unforgiving, Minnesota winters. The Twin Cities has a lot to offer even during the winter. Have anything you like to do with your family during the winter? Let us know on any of our social medias!
