3 Recipes to Make Your Football Party a Hit

The Super Bowl is a spectacle. Whether you watch for the commercials or the game or both, it is always something that is always talked about. What makes the big game even better? Spending time with friends and family at a Super Bowl party. And what makes that party better? The food! Of course there are the staples like pigs in a blanket and chicken wings but today we have three recipes that are sure to keep your guests full and ready for some football!

 

Buffalo Chicken Dip

What you’ll need…

  • 1 ½ pounds chicken breast cooked and chopped

  • 16 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)

  • 1 cup ranch dressing

  • ¾ cup buffalo wing sauce

  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

 

Directions…

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

  • Mix everything except ½ cup of the cheddar cheese into a large bowl until combined

  • Pour the mixture into a 9x9 pan and sprinle the remaining cheese on top

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes

 

Bacon Jalapeno Popper Egg Rolls

What you’ll need…

  • 10 slices of bacon

  • 2 jalapenos

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 8 egg roll wrappers

  • Vegetable oil

 

Directions…

  • Cut the bacon into bite size pieces and put into a skillet over medium heat

  • Cook bacon until brown and crispy

  • Remove from pan and place onto a paper towel to drain

  • Finely dice green part of jalapeno only. Discard the seeds, stem, and white ribs

  • In a bowl, add the bacon, jalapenos, cream cheese, and shredded cheese.

  • Stir until evenly mixed

  • Lay an egg roll wrapper flat and diagonal with a corner facing toward you. Place the cream cheese filling in the center of the wrapper in a line

  • Dip your finger in some water and trace the edges of the wrapper. Fold sides in. repeat until you are out of the filling.

  • Pour vegetable oil into a small saucepan 1 inch deep and place over medium heat

  • After 5 minutes, place 2 to 3 egg rolls at a time into the oil

  • Fry for 1 to 2 minutes per side

  • Remove and place on paper towels to drain extra oil

  • Serve with jalapeno jelly, sweet Thai chili sauce, or ranch dressing for dipping (if you decide you want to dip them)

 

Pickle Roll Ups

What you’ll need…

  • Corn beef/Ham/Turkey slices (your choice of lunchmeat)

  • ½ cup cream cheese

  • Kosher dill pickle spears

 

Directions…

  • Spread about 1 Tbsp. of cream cheese on the lunch meat

  • Cut each pickle spear lengthwise in half

  • Place 1 half on each meat slice

  • Roll up

  • Refrigerate for 1 hour
